Use this checklist while crafting your wedding stationery to ensure that all the important information is communicated clearly to your guests.

 

GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION:

Have a friend or professional proofread your stationery to catch any errors in grammar or punctuation. Remember that formal wedding invitations typically use line breaks instead of punctuation to separate lines.

 

SPELLING AND NAMES:

Double check the spelling of all names, including the couple's names, parents' names, and any other important names.

WEDDING DATE AND TIME: Confirm that the wedding date and time are accurate and consistent throughout all stationery.

 

SPACING AND LINE BREAKS:

Ensure that there is proper spacing between words and that line breaks are placed at appropriate points, such as between the date and time.

 

CONSISTENCY:

Maintain consistency in formatting and wording throughout all stationery, including invitations, response cards, and any additional enclosures.

 

HONOUR/HONOR AND FAVOUR/FAVOR:

Use the correct spellings for these words depending on whether the wedding ceremony is taking place in a place of worship or not.

 

ADDRESSES:

Verify that the ceremony and reception addresses are correct and double check them on map websites like Google Maps or MapQuest. Consider including direction cards if needed.

 

CITY AND STATE:

Make sure to include the city and state for both the ceremony and reception locations.

 

RAIN PLAN:

If your wedding is taking place outdoors, include information on a backup plan in case of inclement weather.

 

FORMATTING:

Check that all spacing is equal and that text is not too close to any design elements.

 

READABILITY:

Ensure that the font is easy to read and that text is not too small or too large.

 

FONTS AND COLOURS:

Use consistent fonts and colors throughout all stationery.

 

PHOTO QUALITY:
